Emily and Eric Larsen met at what is now Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond. We soon realized that God was preparing us for cooperative ministry. We married one week after Emily’s graduation and both began working for the seminary while searching for God’s call to a church. Emily was called to serve as pastor of New Concord Presbyterian Church outside of Lynchburg, VA where she served five and a half years.
Three churches came together to form a youth group of which Eric worked as youth director. We continued to hear God calling us to more shared ministry and began looking for a church that could benefit from our working together. We were searching for a congregation where we could continue to grow in God’s call to us. From our first meeting with the pastor nominating committee, we felt God calling us to St. Andrews and look forward to joining in ministry and mission together with the congregation.
